I tried to get a vid, but the light was off, but I got a pic of them when I took out the decor.
Last week my Green Terror died and my 9 CL's, 1 Pleco, and a small crayfish who was supposed to be food but lived was all that remained. I did a water change today and rearranged the tank. I tossed the ...

Noctural or 9-5 Loaches?
I've been reading that because Clown Loaches are noctural in the wild that they are not recommended as companions for Discus. I've observed mine at night and they sleep. When I turn off their main lights, they tuck themselves in and when I turn off the room lights, they go to beddy-bye. I have to ...

Blackwater Additive? (for loach tank)
I loved my tank when I put my fresh driftwood in. I'd love to get that color back and I wondered if an additive would do the trick. Also, does it change PH levels or anything else? Which brand is best? I'm putting in an order to Big Al's so I have Tetra and Brightwater brands to pick from.

Ok, he came out and sat still for a second. Unfortunately, my camera isn't good enough to take a clear shot. The good news is he still does have all his barbels! The white spot I described looks like a white ulcer on the very tip of his nose. I'm still thinking it's from smashing into the glass. If ...

He was a solo loach from a cichilid tank with large creek gravel. My substrate is the inert caribsea rio grande. The rocks are small, light, and rounded. I do have lots of snails though, as I breed them in a separate tank for loach snacks, so maybe he's been busy eating although I haven't seen him ...

Do Barbells Grow Back?
Hiya, I adopted a 5 inch loach. I didn't notice anything wrong with him when I got him, but I left him alone the first night. He now has a white spot (not ich) on the tip of his nose that looks like an abrasion from going up and down the side of the tank. I think his barbells may have been injured ...

How I beat Ich.
I tried using the method locked at the top of this forum and ended up loosing both of my clown loaches. I figured my Kubotai was going to die anyways since he was completely covered, so I decided to salt my tank and drop the temperature since my dither was very stressed. I also stopped being so ...

Update...
The Kubotai is doing fine at 86. Unfortunately, even with my due diligence, I lost the bigger of my 2 clowns today. I was so bummed out to put my dear Bob in a baggie to be thrown out with the trash. Zippy (clown) and Mickey (kubotai) are in much better spirits that Bob was, so hopefully ...
