Welcome to the forum Vapor. From what I've read and heard, loaches make a "clicking" sound when eating something they enjoy. I believe it's a sucking noise too. My clown loaches make that sound sometimes when sucking on a slice of zuccini.

Wonderful pictures Pedzola! :) Thanks for sharing them. I like the one with your red shark and the clown loach inside the PVC tube. How big is your clown loach? How long have you had the clown and the red shark?

Emma, from the picture you took from a bird's eye point of view, Marge and Stripes don't look that large, but the video definitely amplifies their size more. How many clowns do you keep together in that tank with Marge ande Stripes? Have you caught them lying in a big pile yet? :P Like Graeme, I loo...

Nice picture Wendie. I think the shelf is a wonderful idea. What a great way to display your fish, as well as give them something they enjoy lounging around on. :) How big is your tank? How big is that cave w/ shelves?

Thanks for sharing the video Emma. It was great watching all your loaches eating greedily and scatter so fast once Marge appeared. She is so huge! How long have you had her? I am amazed that clown loaches can get that big. I thought they can't grow that big in captivity. What else do you feed them t...

Hi Clownloach,

Sorry about your loss. I hope you can figure out what happened to your poor loaches before their untimely death. How long had you had them? What other fish do you have in the tank? What kind of rocks do you have on the bottom of the tank?

Thanks Dom for your sage advice. When space and funds are available for me, I do plan to upgrade to a bigger tank. As long as I don't get any more fish, I think things should be okay. Although it's always hard to walk out of any pet store without any more clown loaches. They are my favorite. :)

I thought table salt was supposed to be a bit too much for fish, so I use aquarium salt that comes in a milk carton.

Make sure you don't use too much of the Ich medicine when treating the water b/c it will do more harm than help. Using the salt water treatment sometimes helps. Good luck with curing your fish.

Thanks for the lovely pics Sophie. :) My favorite one is also picture # 2. I've also had trouble taking pics of my clown loaches. They move too fast for my camera.
