I've had Botia kubotai for about a month now. In just the last few days, I've seen them getting pale -- is this a dominance routine like I've seen with some of the other botias? I have five in pretty distinct sizes. They are in good color as I write.

I wondered about the possibility of a tumor -- since I haven't seen one on a loach before, I had no idea what one might look like. Everyone else in the tank looks healthy and we've had no new additions to the tank in well over a year.

Agreed! While growing up, khuli = loaches; I didn't even know there were others. So they're usually the first I turn to if the tank is appropriate for them. That's why it's puzzling to see something on one that is new to me.
