Weird Bump on Kuhli
Hey folks! I haven't been around in a long time, but I figured you would be the ones that could answer this: I have a kuhli that has developed an odd white/pink bump right in front of its left eye. It's maybe three times the size of the eye, but doesn't seem to have affected it directly. It otherwise looks healthy.
The tank is a well-established 50-gallon with lots of filtration, 5+kuhilis (all at least three years or older) clowns, a large pleco, and some community upper-strata fish. I've thought about burrowing injury, which I've seen with my weather loaches in another tank, but that looks more skinned while this is clearly protruding.
Thanks for any help!

Kuhli's are just insane. It's so cool to have a large group of these, they are out and about all the time (even in the "daylight hours") and really enjoy tormenting Billie.

I agree, Kuhlies are neat little fish. They are some of my favourites as well, hard as it is to choose.
I feel bad to say this, but it sounds like your Kuhli may have some kind of tumor. There is some good news and some bad news if this turns out to be the case. The bad news is, there is no way to treat this. The good news is that it is not contagious to your other fish.
A picture would help a lot to give a sure diagnosis. There may be parasites and other diseases that could cause a lump, but with the colour being pinkish and it not spreading to other areas of the fish, this would be my best suggestion.
I have seen fish before with tumors, and they can live a long time. All you can do is to treat it the same as you always have and hope for the best. Maybe there are others who will jump in and give some other suggestions.
Bye for Now..,
