1.) I plan on making the tank a fully freshwater tank. Not salt or brackish water.

I've recently set up a new 26 gallon tank. I've done some research online and checked some pet stores and I've found myself really, really, really wanting a gold loach. I think they're pretty awesome fish.

My question is, how long before they can get added to the tank? Right now ...
