Many thanks, the birth was by chance, totally unexpected. I am trying to get more photos, it is rather difficult as it only appears fleetingly-hopefully over the next few days. Rather worried the much larger Blue botias and Gouramis may feed on it as it is really tiny.

Botia kubotai reproducing in planted tank
Hi ,
I had a very pleasnt surprise yesterday, noticed a 7 mm 'baby' kubotai in my 50 gallon tank. I had set up the tank in May, planted mainly Wisteria, Java ferns, couple of spiral Vals and Crypts together with a pair of Kubotai,2 Clowns, 2 Blue botias, 2 Hillstream, 2 Sewellia lineolata, 2 Bandit ...
