Just thought it would be nice to have a thread going about what loaches you have had and do keep. Just thought of it while looking at Graeme's loaches (BTW, that was awesome!) and i would like to see what everyone keeps.
My tiny insignificant list,
Barbatula barbatula (Used to think they were cobitis)
Barbatula sp
misgurnus anguillicaudatus
Sinibotia pulchra
Y. Nigrolineata
Acanthocobitis zonalternans
There are lots and lot's to add soonish, there should be a few subtropicals in the 400l, and hopefully a hillstream tank. Thats another good thing about this thread, you can edit it when you get more loaches.

Hi Mick,
Would you be willing to submit a couple of pics and some info on your experiences with Acanthopsoides molobrion for the LOL species index? Also, I can't find any reference to Formosania davidii, is this a Crossostoma type or something else entirely?
Emma
P.S. David, sorry to sidetrack on your thread.

No, Emma - this is a very good way to rake for details on some missing loach descriptions!

Well, it would take some research to find all the Latin names...
Clowns
Yoyos
kubotai
Red finned
Horsehead
Weather (1 gold, 2 regular color)
Several unknown species that in general look like Schistura, but not all are Schistura:
S. savona (closest I could come to ID)
Half Banded (probably Schistura)
Darker Loach with red on its tail, but built like Schistura sp.
Similar one, but no red on the tail.
Sargent Major Loach
Kuhlie (the slightly bigger one with spots and stripes)
Black Kuhlie
sids
One of the Hillstreams with a dark body and small light colored spots, spot of red on the tail .
Probably some more; they hide very well. I am often surprised when I move a tank.
