Weather loach grow out tank

A kindly friend from a pet store picked me up two small golden weather loaches, 3 inches each. They're in a ten gallon tank by themselves for the moment, and I wanted to keep them in a 20 long I have (30 inches wide), just until they get a bit wider and less worm-like to my gold fish.

The goldfish tank is 55 gallons with 3, 5.5 inch comets and my other weather loach, Bruce. (6-7 inches, probably a girl too. )

Will the 20 be okay for them for a few months? If so...

Should I get them some dither friends, or just let them settle in? They seem awful nervous and hidey at the moment.

And do you think they'll be okay in that goldfish tank later on?

Thanks much in advance. I'm not big on posting, but I read LOL all the time, and will pretty much do what you guys recomend.

A 20 ought to be a good grow out tank for them.
Some Rosy Barbs will make a good addition to the tank. They like the same temperatures that the Loaches like- upper 60s to low 70sF are good.

Would the rosy barbs help the Dojo's in any way, or just look nice?

Because I don't mind leaving them alone. I'm a little worried about what I would do with the barbs once they started getting bigger and the loaches had moved on to the goldfish tank.

I quarantined two dojos in a 20 and they seemed to do fine. I kept the light dim for the first couple days. They loved their coconut halves and javamoss. It didn't take long before they were comfy. It was just the two of them.

Awesome. Thank you. I'm going to add more caves and java moss now.

My Qtank is also a 20 gal and I kept my dojos there until it was safe to move them to the 55, and they seemed fine, but definitely much happier once they were moved. :-)

I currently have 7 dojos in my 55, 2 of them are the gold kind. They do act very happy in there.
