Picked these sweeties up last night. They have their own tank, a 40G so I did not QT them. The whole tank is nothing but them and some plants and some bogwood with a flowerpot caves, so it's like a spacious QT anyway. They are about 2 inches the biggest being about 2.5 inches. They are very boisterious! Loving them already!

nice fish, it always amazes me of the variation in the striping of these babes, mine are all closeknit lines and yours are stretched apart.

I was thinking that on the pattern with the size of 2 inches plus. You normally see these with more white markings when these are around 1.5 inches. Most small juvenile B striata show this. Once settled with good feedings might show different loaches.

They are changing color a bit already. They are much more comfortable now. Last night when I took these photos they were brand spanking new to the tank. As time goes on, I'll take more photos to see how much they change!

Thank you for the lovely comments. These little guys are a terrific addition. I never knew I'd love them so much. They are very friendly already.

you got some cute ones! striatas are awesome. want a show? stick some salad shrimp on a spoon. then lay it down in the bottom. they will go into a feeding frenzy. its rather entertaining.

check it out!
