hi loachlovers

my clowns were real active past couple days, so I got out the cam and took some pics.

have a look if you'd like, some of my clown gang of 5. they range in size from 3.5" to 4.5"

first 2 pics are 2nd and 3rd in command, about 4"


the flying cross



alpha clown in his house, "grayed out". the other 2 were playing and dashing thru, he went gray to tell em to cut it out. (I dont disturb the house on every cleaning, so a little algae on the glass there)
notice the open mouth on clown outside bottom, so cute.



"I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. Demille". (ohh I wish that glass was nice and clean too)



an odd angle, distorted a bit, makes clowns look real big, and 10" O back there kinda small.

this is little 4stripe sleepin in a bamboo piece, his favorite spot. usually can only see his tail, but he kinda slid out a bit and I got him



bunch of pics I know, but I havent taken any of the gang in a while and kinda went snap-crazy, took a LOT of pics to get those few. chasing clowns around the tank, they were teasing me I tell ya.

(some pics a little bigger than I intended, sorry bout slow downloads. re-sizing and cropping can get outta hand sometimes.)

I noticed your unhappiness with the artifacts in the close up picture. Do you have photoshop? You can get rid of those white bits using the clone stamp tool. Hold down alt and click on the spot directly adjacent to the white spot, and then let go of alt and click on the spot. Ta da! The white spot has been covered with a copy of the spot next to it, and noone will know the difference. I don't know much about other programs but it may not be unique to photoshop.

They hardly detract, though. It is much more beautiful than any picture I have ever taken of my fish.

Rather good! I worry for that one sleeping in the bamboo. Clowns are caught wild (or have been) with bamboo poles inserted into the mud. Their love for a tight place to kip has not worked in their favour! Someone needs to write the Wikipedia entry for tabung - the pole trap.

thanks guys and gals for the nice comments, the mob is appreciative too.

the bamboo is something new I'm trying out, its not in permanent place just yet. more of an experiment see how they like it, I hope no "trap pole" flashbacks for em but they seem to like checking it out and napping in there, can see how would catch them easily.

also on the bamboo, I've cut it all open, no long tube parts left, and sanded all the edges away. just wanted to note that I didn't just drop it in there, worked on it awhile first, no sharp edges after cutting and so forth.
