New home for my loaches

I have waited for over six months for my new tank, and it's finally in my home. Over the next month or two I will set up this tank and transfer my crowded friends to a more suitable, albeit not perfect, environment. Here are some pictures. The stand is made from oak plywood reinforced with 4x4 beams. The doors are still not here - I am having them made, but the cabinet door maker has been less than helpful, so it may remain door-less for some time yet. The dimensions of the tank are 60 x 21 x 21 inches, which should translate to 110 gallons. I hope the floor is strong enough!

The canopy is also plywood.

I painted the inside white, and bought a work-bench type fixture that has a good reflector. For now, I have day light T8s in there. I may have to invest in "real" aquarium tubes - any opinions on that?

The stand and canopy were home designs, and my wife did the finishing. I think it looks pretty good.

Anyway, I will try to keep you posted as I go.

I've been wondering about the shop lights too. That's what I have at the moment. Up until now though I've just been using a 25watt fluorescent light bulb (the kind made for regular indoor lamps) with a reflector and my plants have been doing pretty well with just that.
