I was doing my weekly water change, which prompted my clowns to wedge together into a tube.
Noses (Is that freckle okay?) -- Look at that Pretty Albino Cory! Yoyo nose.

Butts

Nosy Yoyo

1 Yoyo (Check out the green of my Emerald Cory and the bronze of my Bronze cory.)

Tetras on the move.

Yoyo Swirling in his tube (Tetras: Places to go and things to see.)
Normally my tank doesn't look so concentrated, but the Cories always come to investigate when I clean the tank. Maybe something yummy will turn up. The tetras came to investigate what the Cories were looking at.

The clown is not stuck. Just repositioning.

I checked.

Nice selection of fish! The Rummy Nose are looking good.
Those clowns really like those tubes. How big are your Clowns?
Would clowns do the same thing in hollow logs?

My clowns are pretty small at 3-4". I have two new additions in a grow out tank that are are about 1".
I think they would love hollow logs in an aquarium and in the wild. Mine are usually in a stump decoration, but since I was cleaning, and moving stuff around, these four jammed into the tube. There are actually 5 rummys and 5 Clowns, but thy didn't all show for pictures. The rummys school really well. My pretty Puzzle piece clown was hiding.

Nice pictures. I really like the YoYo one.
Those
Corydoras also look very healthy. Are they spawning for you yet?
Nice Fish

Great pictures, Tanja, thanks for sharing.

The loaches certainly seem to love those PVC pipes. I wonder if there is any available in Marge-sized diameter?!

I am sure there are Marge sized pipes since they are used for plumbing.

I just measured her, and with the dorsal fin held erect, she is over 5" in height!

I checked online and there are 6" and 8" pipes.

Then they could all pile in.

I am working on cutting and sanding a few new pieces. Ugly but usable. I find all sorts of fish in the tubes. Not just loaches. I'll post some more pictures when I get a chance.

It's not that my lot don't have many hiding places, because they have stacks of dark places behind XL bogwood, but I would be interested to see which they preferred. I don't think I'd put in any tubes that were smaller than Marge because knowing her, she would do her best to get in there and damage herself. But big tubes means more can bundle into each one anyway.
I am definitely going to try it at some point, maybe on the 8ft loach display tank at work first. That tank needs a bit of a revamp (the bamboo doesn't last long) and I reckon the loaches would love it. There are several species in there.
Definitely post more pictures Tanja, we love looking at them.

Silly Clowns!
Those Cories are richly colored!
Emma, in the US there is a black pipe sold as waste line, called ABS (I do not know what that stands for). It is aquarium safe, and the pipe wall thickness will allow you to round the material so it is not sharp edges. It is thicker than PVC. It cuts and solvent welds similar to PVC (Different 'glue', but same concept).
Many people use the fittings (Ts, elbows... ) to make caves and tunnels for their fish. Being black, it is also a little easier on the eye.
