Finally got round to videoing the Loaches and managed to edit and upload (eventually) to Youtube.
Taken not long after my Puntius had spawned, which was the first time I had seen a evening spawning.
The B.almorhae are the ones that Ashleigh had and are doing well and fattening up even more than they were when the greedy things arrived.

Thanks Mick.
The plants are not bad actually. Considering there is no dedicated planting substrate and the lighting is only 2 30watt T8 36" tubes. The Vallis does best. The Echinodorus were only put in a few days earlier from the Aggressive tank after the Modesta decided to re-arrange them and serve some as salad. I.m giving it a few weeks and then adding a few more larger plants and adding more Microsorium.
The tank was stripped down a few months back when I removed 2/3rds of the substrate and the larger rock decor so has changed a lot from the original design. Since doing that the Clowns and Histrionica are much more outgoing. I'll be adding a few more wood pieces when I add the plants and see how things stand from there.

I think it's rubbish, best thing you can do is get rid of it all.
I'll come take it off your hands for you if you like

They are looking wonderful Chris, Im just really happy that they went to such a good home
They are probably grateful of the lack of competition so they can stuff to full capacity

It is only a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft. Plans have been made and the bank loan arranged for a 96"x30"x30" sometime next year.. This tank will then become home to the Aggro tank inhabitants.

I could do with setting up a small photo tank and taking some decent photos of the inhabitants, rather than trying to snap them at rest.

Loads of questions for you:
What is the substrate at the bottom and where did you buy it? Also, does the current make the substrate get off the bottom?

The substrate is just standard childrens play sand from a company called B & Q in the UK cost around £3 a bag. The current does indeed push the sand around although a number of fish chip in and help, I tend to find it thins out in the middle of the tank and rolls up at each end.
