Beautiful pictures! That largest clown looks like it could be over 20 cm long. Is it?

Thanks, he is just over 9 inches (23+ cm).

Great pictures. Nice fish. That one yo-yo loach looks fully reticulated and the other still has the yo-yo thing going on. Super stuff.

What all do you feed them and what temp do you keep your tank at?

The clown in the foreground on the second picture is absolutely stunning. Love the others too, but it seems like that one has really vivid colours, eh?

bslindgren, I only picked him up at the beginning of December and am hoping his colours don't fade too much as he grows. Does anyone know why this happens? I have 19 clowns in total and they are all different shades!! I am assuming it is mostly diet & water conditions. I know my big fella hogs all the bloodworm and as a result he is darker than any of the others.

Curtis, I feed several times a day from the following foods: -
Frozen Bloodworm, Daphnia, Brine shrimp & prawns. JMC catfish pellets, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, Tubifex, algae wafers, slow sinking granules, flake, cucumber & courgette. They also eat a lot of plants, I replace these every other week. The tank is kept at 27 degree Celsius or 80.6 degree Fahrenheit

Great pics! How long did it take for your big guy to reach 9 inches? I had 13 clowns and 2 modestas in a 125. The modestas were too agressive so I had to sell them leaving me with now with just the 13 clowns.

The big guy is between 6 & 10 years old, I don't know for sure because I bought him from a small fish store in cornwall when visiting my mother some time ago, he was already a few years old & about 6" then. He was returned by a customer along with two other females (they must have had a good reason) & then someone bought the other two leaving him on his own (some people!!).

I haven't had any trouble with my Modestas, although the biggest fella wont ever let any of the clowns in his hideout.
