hope i can get a positive ID on this guy .. he isnt the regualr Kuhli Loach as he is atleast 6 inches long if not a lil longer .. this was the best pic i got of his so far as we just got him the other day along with 3 red head severums and 2 full grown tiger barbs in a 30g tank that was up and running and with a stand for $50 .. the severums are just beautifull they alone are worth more then what we paid for the tank .. all these fish are in my 75g tank

thanks in advance for any help on this guy .. i was given a name of Pangio shelfordi.. is this right and is there a common name for it ??

I'm guessing Pangio myersi, although I'd wait for others to give their views as Kuhli's aren't really my area.

I would agree with Emma. A unique patterned adult also.

A 6" Pangio Myersi, with serious irregularities in the pattern, and no orange tint? ... something else .... (undocumented?)

I've seen same yellow shade/pattern irregularities once, the loach was a large, but still perhaps 3.5", in a shipment of normal. Unf., the entire shipment died out.

Full length picture, next to a ruler, would be surely nice to see.

i wil try and get a full length pic of him and exactly how long he is .. of course we all know Loaches arent that easy to get pics of

I would say that the specimen depicted in the photograph is a P. myersi with irregular coloration/patterning. Interesting to see. It is definetly not P. khuli and I highly doubt it could be P. semictunus (spelling?).

I am 90% sure thats a myersi youve got there.
