Took the opportunity to take a vid of the adult clown loach feeding on a pile of courgette-there were at this from when it went in (approx 30mins after their nightly frozens) to the time I was heading to bed, all remains are gone as of this morning

I swear their stomachs are bottomless!
Anyway here it is, big guy seems to gradually getting a bit more weight on him, maybe someday he will fill out completly

Enjoy

Cheers guys

it took me 45mins to get this thing on youtube, I think we can safely say Im not technically minded
For some reason my big oddball kept going for the skin

I have a few common bristlenose plecs-clowns couldnt get them to move, eventhough they are 1/4 of the size
I love the way they interact-I had two pieces in and all larger loaches were at one, the smaller at the other... It was almost as if the smaller were banished from what the larger cl were after.... whoever said these are fine on their own are clearly not thinking straight
Mick how are you finding your cl now? Still refusing to become attatched?

the clowns fine it swimms under a network of bogwood and rocks with the big striata,
although it never comes out of hiding when i'm in the room, i'm sure he does it's putting on weight so feeding are ok.
once i have a big tank for them i'll get more clowns, but not at the mo.

That's an amazing vid of you feeding your cl's. How did you train them to eat from your hand? Did you just try it one day? Mine are kind of shy so I don't think they'll go for it. Even with the tempting bloodworms. Watch your fingers!!!

I don't actually know, the younger has always fed from hand since Ive had them-I used to hold frozens in my hand and allow bits to fall off-patience is not their best quality so they started coming up to feed and now since I always prepare feeds on the top of the tank and they are up at the surface waiting
My B.striata have started doing the same now which has surprised me-they used to hate my hand, maybe thats why they nip at it more than the actual food
