I have been badly bitten by the loach bug. I have a dozen Sewellia lineolata in a 30 gallon river tank with a small power head. I have been feeding these fish all kinds of foods. So far, these are their favorites in order. Ocean Nutrition Formula 1 pellets, Xtreme Cichlid pellets, nice fresh white worms. After that, most all other foods are just so so. What other foods will they go nuts over?

These also seem to be the favorite foods of the sids and the polka dot loaches I have. The sids also love baby brine shrimp. What other foods will they really go for?

Mine really like Omega One Veggie rounds and shrimp pellets, New Life Spectrum H20 Stable wafers, Ultracolor Veggie sinking fish food, Hikari frozen bloodworms, spirulina brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. I also give them par-boiled spinach leaves occasionally which they really love.

Ditto the Omega One and New Life Specturm product line.
I also feed a wide range of fresh or lightly cooked vegies.

Here is another 'recipe' for Loaches and other fish that graze on the algae that grows on rocks:
Moisten whatever sort of dry food they like. (Try Omega One flakes, and flakes that are especially high in algae.)
Smear the slurry on smooth, rounded rocks.
Allow the slurry to dry.
Put the rock in the tank.
