lepidocephalichthys sp "peacock"

hi
on the stocklist of www.tropicwater.eu we find a "lepidocephalichthys sp "peacock". no infos at all available. does anybody know anything about?

it's some time since. when I got these "peacock" lately, it was evident that there was more than one species in my "surprise tank". without the knowledge of Thomas (thanks a lot!) it would possibly have taken years to find out the scientific name. may be not the ones of acathocobitis sp (botia or urophtalma?) and schistura savona, but lepidocephalichthys annandalei Chaudhuri 1912, from India/Bangladesh. the trigger was "pfauenauge"="peacock" and some pictures made short time after arrival. as the species is very very rarely seen, here some better pictures taken lately

yes indeed Martin
up till now I wasn't very keen on this type of loach, but this one ... Thomas says that I have at least one pair ...

Beautiful Charles! How is their temperament? They look like they would be timid, very gentle.

Here is your male Charles. Good to see the thickened last pectoral fin ray. The more brownish colored loach is the female.

thanks Thomas. actually I have been taking photos. ther are three. seems two males, one female.
they are a little lazy Jim, most time looking around, slow eaters.
