I have fed mine everything from pond snails to garden snails. Avoid the Malaysian Trumpet Snails. The shell is too hard.

Good snails for growing in a Molly tank would be Rams Horn or Pond Snails. Either (or both) of these will grow well simply be over feeding with fish food, and adding some vegetables often. (Mollies and snails both eat vegies!) The vegetables also become a good trap for harvesting the snails.

Whenever I find a snail on my smaller tank I offer to my Clown loaches. This is the most common here:

pond snails will multiply much more quickly, but the ramshorns will get much larger, therefore a better food source IMO. if your snails come from a dirty or unknown source, let them breed, and start feeding your loaches the next generation of snails; same goes for tubifex worms and the like.
