sinogastromyzon puliensis - spawning behaviour

hi all
yersterday evening when I was relaxing, the g.flavatra/s.puliensis-tank in sight, there was a movement in the shade of some boulders. a fight of puliensis I thought at first. new to me, but too late to get the camera, bad light conditions anyway. flavatras seemed to be interested too, other puliensis coming very close, a thing I had never seen before during a fight, one of the two chasing the curious ones away, even the big flavatras.
time for some pictures

and then this: no fight but a female and a male in close contact for minutes

Image Image

just laying side by side

and the tail of the male underneath the females body?

this was going on for about 10 minutes, other males passing by. not really a spawning but it could work that way?

female and male

bad light conditions and not close enough
anyway. have a look at the pictures and tell me if I'm, wrong
cheers charles

no idea Charles, but very exciting to read. Good luck, hope it works soon. I've seen some around here too (first time) and was very tempted - but remained strong and did not buy (my q-tank is busy too ). But still very tempting.
