Its not often you see large histrionica keep that much color. Very nice!!
I think these fish got lucky!

Wow! They are really beautiful. I was going to ask how large they are, since they are so gorgeous that I completely missed the ruler the first two times through the pictures. Nice size.

going of the body depth and the girth, they did'nt need rescuing, very nice fish though. some of my larger botias are marked like that after a days battling so really it's parr for the course in us keeping this type of fish.
i once kept all Cichlids same thing again, ripped fins scratch marks. battle scars.

Absolutely beautiful. They are lovely. Really nice. I have a difficult time finding them here.

Very nice looking fish! Histrionica are my favourite Botia, but it's not often you see them this large. They are so individual in their markings too, you'll have no trouble telling these apart! I'm sure they'll love their new home.

Thanks for the replies everyone. These were rescued from a tank full of large aggressive African cichlids.

My Histrionica is my favourite loach at the moment, I wish I could find more ...
