acclimation

i just transfered my 5, 2" clown loaches into my bigger tank 3 to 4 days ago i have not seen them except for one or two at night under the blue light all i have in the tank with them is a panda gorro they dont have any disease and the temp is at 80*F and its all testing perfect i was wandering if theres any thing or it just what they do when they go into a new tank or if there is something wrong

They are in a new home and it will take them awhile to get used to it. Need to give them some time.

Yep, didn't see mine for 2 weeks and even then I had to upturn an ornament. They eventually got hungry though!

same with my yoyos. i thought he was dead but was squished underthe driftwood

Your lack of dither fish might also be spooking your loaches. I keep rainbows and giant danios in my loach tank. They are the "all clear" fish that let the loaches know there are no predators and it is safe to come out in their their new territory. The size of your tank, determines what kind of dithers you get. THese should be easy going, schooling fish that swim around without concern. The loaches see them acting calm, and the loaches know it is safe to come out. Add dithers and I am sure your loaches will pop out.

i was thinking about getting some rainbow because there so colourful and can i put some 3" barbs in there to with the rainbows or would that stress them

I would go for the rainbows. They are pretty an unaggressive.

What type of barbs?

my rosy barbs can actually get aggresive to the yoyos making them hide where as my gourami defends them and is realy the perfect dither.
