Hi,

It has been suggested this mystery fish is a garra, but can anyone be more specific as what sort it can be?

Garra Cambodgiensis, a bit on the skinny side too .

Thanks. I dismissed Garra Cambodgiensis, because of the slightly narrower shape of my new fish. But you say it is skinny, hmmm, must fatten him up then? This fish was in my lfs display tank for ages, but has been removed from there recently into a puny tank so we thought we'll rescue him. He seems a very happy chappy and I hope he soon gets a bit more meaty.

A few months on, this is what my mystery fish looks like. Definitely G.Cambodgiensis. A fat meaty grub. It's difficult to believe it's the same fish.

Good job! It's not always possible to bring them back when they're that thin.
