Loaches Online Forum

Need advise with my imperial loaches.
They are currently in a 150 Gallon with a 22 inch arowana and a 5 inch Datnoid.
So far they have been with me for a week or 2 i think? But i have not seen them out of their hiding place yet, also have not seen them eat?
I keep the lights off except for an led moonlight at night. Should i be worried?
Would it be better idea to house them with my clown loaches?I'm thinking they cant compete with clown loaches?

Yup I think theyre also called royal clown loach or imperial flower loach?

Not suitable for keeping with Clown Loach.. prefer cooler waters and could eventually pose a threat to smaller Clown Loach and other fish..

mine are currently about 7-8 inches with one 4 incher.

Just lost one to my crossback arowana really disappointed , cant get much info regarding them . Can they be mixed with clown loaches? Will they be able to compete for food?

I hope you have a much larger tank. You realize that leptobotia elongata can reach an astounding 30 inches long and should be kept in a school of no less than three. Not to be harsh but due to your query I'm left to assume you did no research before you purchased these exquisite loaches and look at the result. The best bet would be to find someone or someplace with an aquarium suitable that is housing some Already and give them the ones you have left.

thanks Space would not be a problem to house these loaches
I have a 8x2,5x2.5 feet tank was not able to research about them much as not much people have them, so far i have not seen them eat, but i do drop earthworm pellets and some krill into the tank.
can't find much information on them

Bloodworms and cyclopeeze are going to be your best bet in getting them to eat.
