Polka Dot or Not?

Is it a dot, or is it not?
The little guy in the middle of the first photo was sold as a polka dot, but as he has grown his color is more golden and lighter than the other polka dots which are very green with dark stripes.
Also, as a side question, are the silver/black loaches (also sold as Polka Dots...) Yoyo or "Botia sp.aff. rostrata" because their markings have never exactly resembled any of the Yoyo loaches I have had, even the more reticulated ones.
