I apologize if this has been asked before, but does anyone have a list of the species (preferably common names) that clown loaches live with in their natural habitat?
Also maybe some pictures of their natural habitat?
Im working on a tank just for them and want it to be as close to home as possible.

I doubt many a of those people hanging sticks and strings in the water from their dugout canoes carry digital cameras with them

Check out pics at
http://www.siamensis.org.
You'll not find pictures of Clowns specifically in Nonn Panitvong's pages, but you'll find zillions of cool pics, many underwater, such as this of
Botia kubotai and
Syncrossus berdmorei(under log).
I think there's some video on there too. You'll have to hunt about a bit because most of it is in Thai, but Nonn's photos are A-mazing.

I use to have a link of exactly what your looking for. There use to be a faunu and flora list at this website-
http://www.eii.org/borneo/danausentarum ... fauna.html
but that link is broken now.
Try to google Danau Sentarum.
Also Clown Loaches native name is Ulang Uli or Ulanguli. You might try doing a google search on that instead of clown loaches.

Stuff here about ulang uli catching......
http://people.cornell.edu/pages/rgd6/PDF/febdraft.pdf
......seems they use local names in the text. I don't know if there's a list relating those names to scientific names. Mentions tabung for catching ulang uli.

At this link, on table 6.2, is a listing of some fish in the Kapuas River.
If you have access to good library, there is a book called-
"Freshwater fishes of Western Indonesia and Sulawesi" by
Kottelat, M., A.J. Whitten, S.N. Kartikasari and S. Wirjoatmodjo, 1993
Perhaps this book would help.
Since I have nothing going on for a few days, (I'm resting because I hurt my back yesterday) and that I'm also interested in this ; I'll start a list of common names, scientific names, and location.

I just ran into some info that say's clown loaches were collected in Johore, Malaysia near Kulai in 1941. So much for thinking clowns were only found in Kalimantan, Borneo in the Kapuas and in a few rivers in Sumatra.
