and some panda corys (about in a 3 foot tank with cool water, big filter and powerheads on one side with slimy rocks for the hillies with lots of o2 so its a half river tank half still tank, the hillies hang out in the still side and the pandas hang out in the river side, go figure.

Anyway, a few days back I found some eggs and managed to collect them. I am just wondering if I should move the hillies out early to give the tank to the pandas completly, but I really dont have another fast flow tank that is mature enough for them, but I can set something up for the panda's I hope. I don't know, I am hoping that the hillies will leave the eggs alone, am I hoping to much?

I may be wrong but would bet they will try to eat the eggs. Eggs are one of the most apreciated snacks for most fishes. Some species protect their eggs like the angelfish but not Corys.

bugger that means someone has to move, and both are touchy fish to move! Just my luck!

Who do you think would be easiest to move, the pandas or the loaches?

What I would do is wait and see. If the Pandas bred then they'll do it again. You can afford to risk these eggs to see what happens. Marcos is probably right but I would see if the eggs hatch and any babies develop.
In an established tank baby Cories should grow up ok. I've had Corydoras aneus breed in my Clown tank when they were introduced before the other fish. I ended up with 10 nice babies so I have a nice little shoal now. I see them spawning sometimes but the other fish eat the eggs now of course.

I think you meant that you have 8 Pandas? Because you wrote 8 followed by a right-hand bracket the forum software interpreted it as a "Cool" smiley

the tank is a bit manky, I am more worried that they will eat the eggs before I even see them. Tomorrow is cleaning and water day so that should set them off and its wait and see. I think they would have eaten them the first time if anything.

I remove all the eggs and hatch them seperate. I have about 200 albino aneus fry at the moment and another 100 eggs waiting to hatch lol. Its just the pandas that are finiky

thanks I am getting good at the albinos as they lay in large clutches, the pandas however will do one here, one there, one over there and so on, so they are very easy to miss. Hatching is also a little different I have found. Hopefully they will breed again soon and I will be sorted
