Hi everyone!
4 kinds of Stiphodon genus from the Moluccas archipelago of Indonesia was sold in aquarium shops in about last December.
I think that there are members of LOL which obtained them.
Fortunately, I was able to obtain them, too.
Stiphodon annieae (male)
This kind was authorized as a new species of Stiphodn in 2015.
These were sold all for a pair, but the female identification is extremely difficult.
Stiphodon annieae (male) & (unknow female_A)
Stiphodon rutilaureus (male)
I suppose that a typical design of S.rutilaurus is not yet seen because these are extremely childish.
Stiphodon pelewensis (male)
It isn't certain whether this individual is S.pelewensis. It's difficult to classify as S.ornatus.
Stiphodon semoni
Female_A
It is small female A of unknown species.
This female is close to a male of Stiphodon annieae.
As for this female, a black belt-shaped design breaks off, and red is seen in the tip of the dorsal fin.
Females B or C
These 3 are other females. These three of them tend to act together. I think that it is a kind except S.semoni.
I'm editing a videoclip at present.
It will be uploaded soon.

I just got 4 of Annieae this afternoon all full colored up at ~2 cm. Will post pictures when they get out of QT in a few weeks.
About how long will these get? The tank I am planning to put them in has Rhinogobius Candidanus and if they don't get much bigger I will need to rethink that.

In the forum of this place, I introduce several kinds Stiphodon genus of the Goby department in the beginning.
I breed five kinds of Stiphodon genus for around 6 years. And I hold an enormous picture about them.
The unidentified thing needs a scientific name in an overseas kind.
I think that I want to exchange information with a detailed person about it.
Thank you so much.
I have been heavily searching the internet this year just for vibrant colored male gobies of all sorts.
We're from Ohio, USA.
It has been quite difficult to find goby males for sale.
Most of the advertised gobies online are in Oregon, Florida or North Carolina.
We're searching everyweek.

Hello from France, thank you odyssey for your sharing, on the book of Professor Keith I did not have pictures of females of Stiphodon annieae.
Too bad we can not see the photos of karimli, he has so much to say about this species.
Unfortunately my country operates a mine that endangers one of these rivers and the situation on this island is very worrying (deforestation, pollution ...).
I created a group on facebook to talk about the biotopes of the gobies
https://www.facebook.com/groups/freshwa ... er.gobies/ , of course that does not prevent me to come on the forum to come sharing my photos.
We are a big family who love gobies. Social networks help in communication, because everyone goes on facebook.
Forums are our archives, it is important to share on forums for the future generation. I will come to talk about Egg laying, I think it is better to open another subject?

What color substrate is going to get the colors to enhance or "pop"?
We usually use Black or White.
I'm guessing black would be the answer, but am hoping for some reason to try another white tank.
- The fast moving water rips the turds off the substrate and keeps the white sand very clean and white.
