I found HBH brand "Algae Grazers" leaf shaped wafers at Petsmart that have the following top four ingredients: Spirulina Algae, Dehydrated Alfalfa meal, Pea Powder, Soy flour.
That's the highest I have seen Spirulina in the ingredients of any algae wafer. Further down the ingredient list are shrimp meal, carrot powder, spinach powder and kelp meal.

I just bought a bag of those for the first time a few days ago Jim. I was pretty excited as the fish obviously like them, but they make an awful mess in my 75gal botia tank! It's not as bad in other tanks with cories/khulis/gobies etc, but 14 botias going crazy on them just stirs up a cloud!

Found another good algae tablet today.
Nutrafin Spirlulina meal tablets. Dried spirulina algae is the main ingredient.
They are easy to break into pieces and sink well. The fish like them too.

Has anyone tried these? Sound good but pricey!

$12 + shipping is VERY expensive for 100 tablets.

I have tried some other Sera products and was not too impressed. I don't know anything about these, however.

How did you fare with the HBH algae grazers in your tanks Jim? They seem to be OK for me with the more civil feeders like cories & gobies.
Where did you find the nutrafin product? Haven't been able to find them yet here, or at the ususal shops on the net.

The HBH seems to work well with hillstreams.
The Nutrafin tablets are not that easy to find. I happened upon them in a pet store I occasionally visit in a town up north. Nutrafin also makes a great freeze dried tablet made with krill and other good stuff. I haven't seen them in some time, though.

I use the Omega algae wafers from Petsmart. I've tried various others but they just ignore them. These, I put them in and they vanish like they think they're eating some sort of luxurious food.

I use the Omega Algae wafers too, I have used others in the past, but these seem to be a favourite in my tank.

I just found another good brand called Cobalt. They make some very good flakes, too.

I just tried Rapashy superfood, and I am thrilled. The fish give it four fins up, everyone except the puffers and eels tore it apart. You buy it as a powder, add boiling water and it becomes a gel. Water stable for at least 12 hours. I have been feeding it to everyone, my bristlenoses like it best, and it actually brought all my moth catfish out, and they come out for nothing. You can smear it on rocks and wood, make it into cubes, crumble it, suspend it in the water. And it has mostly fish based ingredients with algae. Not much of the junk and fillers. It goes a long way. I tried the one for shrimp and grazers, but there's also an aufwuchs one, a carnivore diet and a community. Basically the same but range from 40-55% for protein. Fat about 6%. I love it for the hillstreams, baby bristlenoses, garras, . . . Next time I will add blood worms, and my eels and puffers can enjoy it too.

I have seen the Repashy product line in the club I belong to. I am not sure where they got it, they were passing around samples.
The water does need to be boiling, just hot is not enough. Fish seem to like that product line. (I think they had about 3 varieties)
