Well to be honest most people tend to try to stay away from streams. But, probalby if you go deep into valleys you may find somethings but, its kinda of an pain in the butt places...

So... you don't worry too much about living up to the nick-name then....

for that, that would be hardcore.... chances of getting lepto and for the fact that i dont drive ... also dont know if these fish are protected or in private property...

the ones I got recently are the first once I saw in my live and the store did not even know them. Now they trouble me with some small spots, either a weird form of ich or perhaps oodinum, which has a similar nature, but it's white so far.

I've had success with bristlenose plecos, one of my tanks has a female that's likely 6 yrs. old. She's so efficient that I have to supplement her diet with the typical zucchini, spinach which of course creates a mess.

Although, she has to compete with the yoyo loaches/tiger barbs that all seem to go nuts over any green vegetable. At 4.5" long she's certainly a poop factory. I'm contemplating trading her in if I can find a siamese algae eater, just to reduce the excrement load.

from my experience with SAE's as they got older they ate more food that i fed my other fish than algae itself...
