I want to introduce in my tank (6.08gal) a couple of stiphodon semoni.
I would like to know of what you think of it.

I have often seen 30-liter aquariums kept by Japanese with Stiphodon.

You know that I have Stiphodon semoni in 120 liters lot of months, I do not see any growth in the stiphodon semoni.

though Other Stiphodon rainbow grow them well.

We know the Stiphodon semoni and the smallest Stiphodon.
When I observe, I see a Stiphodon very timid, he contented himself with a small territory.

When I look at the aquarium fluval edge, I guess the experience can be very interesting
because it could exploit the entire surface of the aquarium.

I wonder if could have put a couple or a trio maximum within 42 cm of the aquarium.

I'm not good at English, either, so there may be misunderstanding.

I think the ability of the filtration system is more important than the size of the water tank.
I think strong long illumination is effective in keeping of the fish species which makes the alga principal food.
But strong illumination sometimes makes the water temperature rise, so an water tank cooling system is sometimes needed.

There is an individual that eats a blood worm, but there is an individual that never tries to eat a blood worm, too.
My biggest interest is how to increase the cultivation amount of the alga.

It's a strange thing, but I have not seen this Stiphodon being sold by a name as S.semoni in Japan.
Male and female of Stiphodon.sp imported from Indonesia as "Blue moon" or " Metallic blue" in Japan.

S.percnopterygionus is smallest in Stiphodon genus with my keeping.

Tank size is a personal choice. S. semoni don't seem to travel much, but I like to give my fish plenty of room. I have a small group of these in a 15 gal, 24x12x12 and for me, that's as small as I would go. Agree with odyssey about the filtration and algae growth. They like plenty of water movement.

I've not seen them sold here as s. semoni either odyssey. Always s. atropurpureous or "cobalt blue".

I tried the tablets and my Stiphodon took many colors, they have a nice belly.
