May 2012,I went to Indonesian Bali island.
Many rivers of Bali were muddy, but were able to photograph a freshwater fish a little.
Because there is not the knowledge of the fish of this species, I do not know the name.

Some video clip are uploaded in Youtube.

Are swords and guppies native to Indonesia? I have no idea. We find a variety here in FLorida, but I don't know which ones are native and which ones are released.

Interesting that of the 3 species in the picture two of them are invasive. Same thing round here- most rivers are loaded with invasives, mainly same swordtail & guppy from pet-industry breeders. Native/endemic livebreeders/gambusia & killies are having a tough time, but the predatory mullet & gobies love 'em like popcorn.

Hi everyone!

Unfortunately many rivers of Bali seem to be filled to an invader.
I watched swordtail and a guppy in Philippine Cebu.
I also watched swordtail and a guppy in Okinawa of Japan.
The tropical zone of the world and the subtropical local river may be influenced sometime soon by a guppy and a swordtail.

Our fish farmers have their ponds flood during storms, so our lakes and rivers are filled with non natives. A few are also released pets. Our rivers are very interesting for collecting.

Hi Odyssey, I'd guess the only native fish would be those Puntius Binotatus ?
