Help, my tank of angels and community fishes are infected with callamanus. Looking for levamisole, but all the online stores seem to be out of stock (US), even some that list it as in stock.
Where is everyone currently getting theirs?
Thx

Where are you? I had to go out to the county here and the local farm supply had it. It's sold as pig wormer.

I'm in the Los Angeles.
Seems to me that it is discontinued, so it will be ever harder to get a hold of going forward?

I think you are correct about Levamisole HCL being discontinued. A manufacturer of it, Schering-Plough Animal Health, no longer lists it as one of their products at their website.

This is the stuff I've ordered before:
Levamisole Soluble Pig Wormer
It's currently out of stock and according to Lisa on the phone it should be available again in early 2009. Meanwhile, I'll look around a bit.

I've placed an order with Mr inkmkr.
Hopefully Lisa is right and it will come back in stock, though I have my doubts as it looks like SheringPlough has discontinued it permanently. Or at least in the pig powder form.
Thanks everyone.

Apparently AgriLabs is still making it but a couple of my sources are backordered.
On the bright side, when i spoke with PBS Animal Health they said that they wouldn't be allowed to backorder it if it was interdicted by the FDA or otherwise removed from animal use. They are not aware of there being any long term reason for the delay and the staff I spoke with said they are assuming it will be available shortly.

Maybe they are just keeping an eye on who is buying the stuff because some drug dealers are mixing it with cocaine.

That seems like a pretty isolated case, though. There has to be cheaper things that they can cut their coke with. I remember a few years back, people were stealing baby formula.
