My sister just bought some fish and noticed that one has a strange pink thing hanging from it's rear end. Does anybody know if this is a hernia or a prolapse? 
Could be...
Not a good sign. I would take the fish back.
Red things, small, perhaps several = Camellanus parasites. Very nasty to get rid of.
Small pink blob- Prolapse, or some kind of growth
Long pink single thing- could be poop. It is often colored like whatever the fish ate last. White, stringy poop is suggestive of internal parasites.
