I suspect that one or two of my loaches have a parasite of some kind. I bought API general cure ant-parasitic fish medication which should take care of it, but what I was needing to know from you guys is if I cut the dosage in half like with ich medicine.

I always treat at half doseage. Some of the medications for parasites are so caustic. I hate treating my fish. I try to avoid it at all cots, but I am treating for parasites too.

Ok. I'm relieved to get a response so quickly. The package says nothing about using caution with certain fish. I'm a little frustrated about that. Have you had luck treating for this before? It looks like they have cws. Is that bacterial? I hate to think I'm treating them for the wrong thing!!

On this website skinny disease is usually considered to be parasites, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is more than one cause. The hardest part is getting the anti parasitic medicine into the fish. Many need to be taken internally. If you need Levamisole, you can get it from here: http://www.aquaresearchcenter.com/levamisole.html Levamisole works quite well. I use it with my fish with no bad side effects as long as I follow the instructions.

That website looks promising, but I can't figure out where to order it. I guess I call the phone number.
