Uses for a Dojo Loach

Post by Jayne »

[/b]I found a use for my dojo's which may not be standard, but was really effective. When my daughter was a baby, my stepson made a promise that when she started dating, he and his friends would be in the living room cleaning their guns when the girl went on her first date. Just so he knew what would happen if he wasn't respectful. (of course he would never harm him, but a good scare Tim thought would work wonders) Well thing changed we moved and I ended up with only my boss loach to defend my girl. The beau was visiting, I was feeding the fish, the lad took the flake out of my hand and ate it. I said, would you like to feed my fish? Being 15 and brave, he said yes. I got some tubifex worms, put his hand in the right spot. When Mr Loach came up, barbels feeling for his treat, the lad jumped back and screamed. I laughed until I cried. I am not a nice woman.

On the contrary....You're a very nice woman. You keep loaches. You could have kept Piranha

Excellent story.

The rest of the story

Strangely enough they both got saved, became Christian (super for me) and belonged to a church that doesn't believe in dating. This was wonderful for the mother of a 14 year old girl. She is 21 now, a beautiful girl and I know that God has Blessed me with her. Sorry, a little religion, but it is the truth. Loaches rule.

Really, if you don't believe in dating, what do you do... just see someone you like and get married? That makes very little sense to me.

As much as the atheist in me would like to say something, I don't think we should detract from the topic at hand fellas.

Lets discuss religion in the OT forum.

Clarification on dating

Post by Jayne »

I expressed myself poorly. 14 year olds are not ready to settle down. As an older, more mature person, dating is encouraged, with someone of similar values. At 14 you have no idea who or what you will be. A few years makes a real difference.
If only my daughter liked loaches.
