The Kray Twins - Second hand Fish

Post by JAH » Mon Feb 18, 2008 1:54 pm

I only popped in to my local aquatic shop to see if the live food had arrived (it hadn't  )

I don't know why I looked at the fish display because I'd only been in yesterday so I 'knew' there wouldn't be anything interesting - they sell mainly bread and butter stuff anyway.

There they were still floating in a bag,a customer hand in as they had started harassing their smaller tankmates.Their previous owner had nicknamed them the Krays and had handed them to the shop.

The girl in the shop knows me well as I buy my dog and cat food there and so when I enquired about them she admitted that they had not given the customer any money for the fish because of their 'nasty' temperaments so when I offered them £1 each she agreed and the fish came home with me :)

They are in quarantine at the moment and will hopefully form the basis of a grr tank that I intend to set up.

I think they are Syncrossus Helodes - am I right :?: (probably not!)
