Nemacheilus ornatus was quite abundant in the stream. (i prey for the same in one of my tanks)

It also makes me realize that algae is the most common thing in a loaches life. A ton of it!

Rubix: I, mainly, used Olmpus 770sw as underwater camera, so it didn’t required any case. In some photo, I test Ewa Marine underwater plastic bag with my Canon 30D as well. It work pretty well too, with out much risk coz the water was very shallow.

Worton: the Glyptothorax was in the Surathani stream in the first picture, but it stayed in the rapid, not in the sand bottom shallow part like that. Sand loach was quite tame, they didn’t really afraid of us.

Dutch: I’m glad you love our site! The fish in the picture you asked is Badis siamensis.

Newshound: Yes, this loach (Schistura cf. geisleri) does dive into the sand.

i have used the ewa "plastic bag" on my 1d in crazy rapids a ton without any problems. well except scratched glass on the front element. But hell whizzing down the rapids accidents will happen.
love the right hand strap on it. Keeps my left hand free to navigate and protect myself from rocks. I am lefthanded so that helps.
I have also used it 12' deep in pools too.
