Did I make a boo-boo?

Post by Shieldmaiden » Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:45 pm

Hey all, I have a koi pond with five small koi, three golden dojos and four small cory cats (not sure exactly which kind).

I purchased some blue pearl shrimp with the idea of putting them in there but see in other threads that loaches may eat shrimp?

Anyone have any insight? I can't put them in my community tank because it also has dojos and two kuhlis.

I have a small tank with 10 pearl danios. Would they be safest there?

Kuhlis don't eat shrimps or at least they don't in my experience. Dojos however can. They'll be safer with the pearl danios.

When the koi are bigger they will eventually eat the blue shrimp.

Thank you for the advice. I had no idea these guys would be soooo tiny (but adorable).

They'll be going in with the danios. :D
