Post by J@CKSON » Wed Jul 30, 2008 1:14 am

very nice bud, iv'e always liked almorhae mainly for you never get two fish looking alike in pattern.
iv'e got a shoal of possibly 20 of them.

It's really great to see that you have found so many friends for your original Yoyo. :D

the interesting thing with yoyos is their varying markings :D if in doubt, show us a photo. all the ones you have shown so far are yoyos. i once bought one i wasnt sure about, and it grew into a botia rostrata.

14 yoyos in a nice big tank will make a lovely display

Helen you want a pic of what i suspect is a hybrid, you got it.
it's identical to the one oliv put up as the offspring of clown and yoyo.
what i have noticed is the shortness in the body and also the broadness on the dorsal plus they seem to have a shorter face.
it's one that escaped the net so i've given it a reprieve until i can get ity out.

here's the suspected hybrid Helen and folks, i think i got them from a local garden centre thats supplied with fish from a local wholesale place.
i actually bought 10 of them i got 9 out and give them to a local lass who just wants a pretty tank but loves her fish, this one i just could'nt catch but will one day.
hope you don't mind J@CKSON. but as you like almorhae it's sommat to look out for.

and as a comparison this is a wild caught from my mates shop, iv'e asked where these were caught because of the varying patterns in one batch.
