unusually marked B rostrata

seeing the pic of MD's fish this is one that i picked up last year, it stays hidden most of the time but when foods are put in the tank, out it comes.
I know piggy4 has at least a couple of similarly marked rostrata as well.
anyhow here's the pic.
has anyone else got rostrata marked like this?.

For a while i did think this could be the Male pattern ! though i'm not too sure as one of my similarly marked fish has started to plump up suggesting it could well be a female ?

I know Mark Duff had some similar fish ! how large are they now Mark ? and what sex are they ?

I have 4 unusually marked rostata and they are all approaching 4 1/2" and none have shown any signs of plumping up so far so I am assuming all males.

they're a good size mark, did you grow them on yourself bud?.
the fish in the pic is roughly 3", andy's are about the same i think.

I bought them all at around 2" and they didn't seem to do anything for ages and then put on a bit of a growth spurt and have grown steadily since.

If I have the big change around that I think I am going to have to have then these may well make the journey over to the 7ft.

i should think so as well Mark, it's not that often we see fish with this pattern, have you got the regular two bar rostrata as well?.
yes iv'e found the same as you, at first no growth now thiat fish in the pic has put just over an inch on.
Andy has also found that the rostrata in one of his cooler tanks have grown the fastest.

I will try for some up to date photos when sorting the tanks out, I will probably be able to get round to it once the little lad is back at school (not long now
