That first one is an absolute stunner. Well they all are really, but that first one - wow! 8) If we all agree that it's a S. pulchra, I think that pic should be added to the profile. Let's see what everyone thinks!

Beautiful loaches!

I wouldn't say the third is pulchra though, way to fewer stripes right? or as usualy wrong?

I actually have a theory on this David, I think that number 3 is either:

1 - A different species to the other 3

2 - Is actually male and the other 3 are female. As well as having less bands if you look closely the fish in photo's 1,2 have a slight hump on the top of the body between the dorsal and caudal this is also present in the fish in photo 4 but not in fish 3 :?

OMG! Those are the best 'out of the dealer's tank' looking S. pulchra I've ever seen. Gorgeous. They're often so skinny.

Im running 7 tanks at the moment with a couple more breeding tanks planned soon if I can make the space in my new shed :D
