I have 3 Golden Dojo's that I dearlly love. I noticed yesterday one of them does not look so good. He doesn't seem to be as active as he usually is, and also his body looks swollen. DH thinks it is my imagination, but I don't. I did a water test and everything is good. No ammonia, or nitrates, Ph is where it always is. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you.
Diane

Loaches pick up internal parasites pretty easily. If you have not already wormed these guys I would start there with Levamisol. If you have already wormed them, what did you use? There are several groups of worms and not all wormers kill all sorts of worms.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

Diana,
No I have not wormed them. I will call our fish store to see if they have Levamisol, but I highly doubt it. I live in a very small town, and they don't carry a whole lot of fish aquiarium meds etc, other than food, and some supplies etc. If I might ask, how is Levamisol administered? I will go online to look for this if my fish store does not carry it.
Thank you so much. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be OK.

Feed stores often carry Levamisole, it's a pig & sheep wormer. Look for the article from Shari on it & different forms.
