i went to the lfs and seem these beautiful loaches and was wondering what kind of experience people have had with these loaches

which ones do you me, have you seen the balteata or the cf balteata
the cf being the more colourful.

the cf one that are more colorful those are the one at the store

I've had 2 balteata together in my 75 gal. laoch tank for a few months and I love them. They're almost always visible and have great personalities. Thy chase each other around a bit, especially at feeding time, but it seems like harmless play. I do have lots of hiding places for them. Here's one of mine.

they ain't bad then as long as there's plenty of cover in the tank.
