How much a week does it cost to feed them all
I probably go through about £45 worth of frozen food every 6 or so, dried foods I just buy as and when needed but I have tons of different dry foods to choose from
There is a lot of writing about Botia Striata, but somehow I can barely find competent information on their life span? Anyone? I find from 4 up to 15+ years, checking the google. Now that is a large difference.
Nice Shots and REALLY pretty Striata! The one in the last shot looks like she's eating well. The Striata still don't compare with the Clowns in the complete glutton department.
I try not to think about how much I spend on feeding them. Almost entirely frozen bloodworm, spirulina brine, mysis shrimp, some chopped up cocktail shrimps now and then. I throw in some cichlid pellets sometimes and algae wafers for treats.
I put in a few algae wafers last night and the boys were a poppin and clickin like crazy!
Botia lifespans should be listed as "Yet to be Determined"
I think when it comes to lifespans there are so many variables it would only ever be an estimate, I think the only true way to find a lifespan would be to be able to age a fish that has been in ideal wild conditions.
