Fantastic images and love the mantis. 8) The Betta should be B. ocellata and the fish in the pic to the left of it looks like an Esomus sp. I think the weird-looking one on somebody's hand might be a Neostethus??

Great pics!!
I would love to find some of those neogastromyzons
some day. I always looking to see if I can find one that has hitched a ride in a shipment of gastromyzons.

Me too Jim. I check every shipment of "Borneo suckers" that my LFS gets but so far nothing new.

thanks emma
yes I do the same. a have one LFS where I found viriosus (one after one) or the last zebrinus, for them I'm the "flossensauger-jäger" ("bellysucker-hunter"). as long as I can't change the mix-situation I try to enjoy it. but now it's becoming even better: one of them is importing from singapur directly. we'll see!

about the id: I just got an idea in a mail by H.H.Tan: the neogastromyzon could be a protomyzon. this one could fit

http://fishbase.org/Summary/speciesSumm ... whiteheadi

but: nothing is clear about this group of suckers. so we wait for a revision

Great information!

Gastromyzon, Pseudogastromyzon, Sinogastromyzon, Hypergastromyzon are already kept.
Neogastromyzon has not yet watched the real thing.

I wait expectantly for Neogastromyzon being imported.

Thank you very much for valuable information.
I am not used to English. Therefore,It is likely to sometimes misunderstand it.

Wonderful photos :D

The Neogastromyzon are lovely fish, I have only ever had one of what was thought to be Neogastromyzon but I never managed to get it positively ID'ed.
