Anyone have any fall foliage pics?

Post by Jim Powers »

This tends to be a beautiful time of year in my area, as well as many other places accross the northern hemisphere. I was wondering if anyone had some nice fall foliage pics they wanted to share.
I'll start it off with these from Brown County State Park which is about 15 miles from my home. These are from last year since the foliage has not peaked around here yet and probably won't for another week or so.

As you saw before, when we were on vacation things were starting to turn.

It was our intention to go out of town today and check things out but I'm incapacitated by bad back-ache/sciatica type crap going on :?

I recall that I'm under orders from Vancouver to go down in the Milton area west of Toronto and record the Niagara Escarpment foliage. Could be good by next weekend as Toronto is colouring up nicely.

Your pics got me thinking about this thread.
Take care of yourself. I know how painful back problems can be.
Consider yourself also on orders from Indiana to get that Niagara Escarpment foliage pics, too.

Ooh, escarpment shots!! A bit late, but I'll take them! It's a spectacular vantage point up there from near Glen Eden.

The colored leaves are November in the area where I live in.
Therefore, I show the pictures of the last year.

I went leaf watching today at Brown County State Park again and Yellowood State Forest, but the colors are still spotty. Another week or so and this vista should be ablaze.
I did get to do some "spirited" driving on some of the areas winding roads.

Three things I like: my car, fall foliage, and rail fences.

No pics here we are already buried in three inches of snow and most of the leaves are still on the trees.

I got behind a motorhome from Minnesota in the park today. The owners were probably glad they were down here in our 60F weather.

We cruised through the local cemetery today. Must go back with the camera, it was very colourful.

Yea, us Canadians know that Canada Geese have longer necks than those resin reproductions ...

There are some Canada Geese that stay around here near by all year round. I will try to go over to their pond on Sunday and see if I can get good photo of them ...
