I was offered some nice large Clowns a while back (for free) but declined because after losing all mine one by one to Skinny I just didn't have the heart for any more.
A colleague at work used to keep fish back in Russia and recently set up a tank here in Toronto. He bought some nice discus, but then decided that he wanted to keep some other discus varieties and asked me if I was interested in taking the ones he did not have space for.
Let me think..................YES! (this took about one quarter nano-second in reality)

He had also given me a nice pair of angels a short while ago, so here's the new inhabitants of the 6-foot 120 gallon tank in our lounge.

The smallest discus...around 3" in length.

The Super Red Melon around 3.5 inches.

Both the above came from Hong Kong. The two below from Singapore.
They are a bit under 4 inches.

They all had some slight eye cloudiness after the move and the one above has a slight issue with the caudal fin. I'm treating the tank with Melafix and the eyes have cleared completely in 2 days. They are eating Bloodworm and the Angels are eating anything I put in the tank.
Despite having kept fish since around 1964 this is the first Discus I've ever kept.
