skinny disease - Piperazine as alternative to levamisole

I have found it difficult to find Levamisole.

Is Piperazine a good alternative to levamisole? Is so, what dosage should I use? Are there other alternatives?

Where would one typically find Flubendazole? At one time I could find Levamisole at a feed store as a sheep wormer but they have since stopped stocking it and mine has passed it's expiration date.

Flubendazole is available as a dog wormer. Not for cats (mammals, seems it is OK for Catfish).

Piperazine is a dog and cat wormer. I made some frozen food and mixed the amount I needed into the food based on which tanks I wanted to treat and how often the fish would need to eat it. It has been a while, and I no longer remember the dosage.

Diana, I think you're referring to fenbendazole? Fenbendazole works if you add it to feed and the fish eat it. Flubendazole is more readily dissolved in tank water and absorbed . I use it with all new fish in quarantine. It also kills ich, oodinum, and snails!
