Vallisneria – The One Plant Wonder.

Post by StraightClownin »

I wrote an article on Vallisneria. I love this plant, easy to grow under low light and looks good in all my tanks.

If you're interested have a read:

Yes, I love val, too! I have a lot of it now and I can't seem to kill it - this is good! As I become more experienced at keeping aquatic plants I'm sure I will want to diversify a bit more, but, as a beginner, I am definitely enjoying this plant!

That was a great article, easy to read, easy to understand, and well written. Friendly.

I hvae tried Val so many times, and successfully kill it everytime. Any advice? I have light, I have nitrates (of course), . . . I know my plecos eat it, my loaches tear it, but even in my other tanks, I lose it. Any ideas? Thanks! I can grow wisteria like a weed and Java moss does very well.

Val looks great waving in the current of a river tank.

Jim - dunno if you keep any hygro(phila corymbosa), but I know that will knock back val.
